(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – On Friday, former President Trump accused the judge overseeing his hush-money case in New York of trying to make the ongoing trial “as salacious as possible.” Trump’s legal team attempted during the hearing to undermine a witness by mentioning celebrity scandals.
Trump took to his social media platform Truth Social to accuse New York Judge Juan Merchan of being “highly” corrupted and trying to do everything possible in order for the trial to be “salacious.” He pointed out that this was despite the fact that these things were completely unrelated to this fake case.
Trump, following his arrival to the courthouse, had once again taken aim at Judge Juan Merchan in his comments to reporters prior to starting the proceedings again. Trump has argued that the judge is “highly conflicted” and that he had allowed completely unrelated testimony at the court case, just to make the trial as “salacious” as possible. However, as he argued while Merchan was attempting to hurt Trump by doing that, the result was the exact opposite.
Trump is facing 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in connection to this case. The case is salacious in nature as it is looking into a $130,000 payment made to adult film star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 presidential election. The payment was meant to keep Daniels from revealing her alleged affair with Trump. The former President has denied the affair repeatedly. Trump’s legal team has also pointed out that Trump had not done anything wrong, and that hush money payments were not illegal in the country.
