(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – GOP lawmakers have all been appearing in New York City in support of former President Donald Trump as he is attending his hush money trial.
On Monday several congress members, including Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-N.Y.), Sens. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.), and JD Vance (R-Ohio) all joined Trump at the courthouse. The three lawmakers ended up seated next to each other on the gallery’s second row, only around 10 feet away from where the former President was seated.
While waiting for the proceedings to start, Malliotakis and Vance were chatting, while Tuberville was predominantly just looking at the courtroom.
Last week, Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) joined Trump in the courtroom, which has now resulted in the courtroom being considered one of the places where people could go if they wanted to gain the favor of the former President and his MAGA supporters.
Trump ally Laura Loomer took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to argue that it was good finally seeing some elected GOP members standing behind Trump. She argued that she was glad to see that some Republicans had taken their time from their “nothing jobs” in order to appear in support of the former President in the courtroom.
A gag order is currently limiting Trump from criticizing court staff, prosecutors, witnesses, and the family of the judge, however, the Congress members who have appeared in court have been allowed to speak up against those people and defend the former President in the trial. Trump has faced multiple fines for violating the gag order previously.
