(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – On Tuesday, the White House slammed a video from students of the University of Mississippi who had harassed a Black protester during a pro-Palestine protest by mimicking a gangster. The video was shared by Republican Rep. Mike Collins (R-Ga.) on social media and has since gone viral.

The video showed a group of white men who had been harassing a Black woman by yelling and dancing while she was protesting. Collins shared the video noting that it might include some “potentially inappropriate behavior.” He did not provide any further explanation on why he opted to share the video after being asked about it.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre criticized the decision to share the video, arguing that it was beneath an elected official or leader to be sharing videos with such action. As she pointed out this sort of behavior was beneath the type of behavior that people holding office should be exhibiting. She added that the video showcased “undignified” and “racist” behavior and that the actions shown in the video were “sickening.”

On Saturday, Ole Miss announced that they would be investigating the incident. Chancellor Glenn Boyce specifically noted that the chants and actions of the group that was opposing the protest had been hostile and had “racist overtones.”

Mike Collins released a statement following Monday’s tweet. He tweeted the video showed “potentially inappropriate behavior that none of us should seek to glorify.”
