(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Maryland Democrat Kristin Mink of Montgomery County Council criticized Muslim children by arguing that they were aligned with “white supremacists’ in opposing a sexuality discussion in school. Mink stated specifically that when it comes to this particular issue, some Muslim families are on the same page as “white supremacists and outright bigots.”
She proceeded to say that while she would not classify them in the same category as those people, they do fall on the same side when it comes to LGBTQ+ issues. These remarks were made after Muslim children opposed the fact that their parents were not allowed to take them out of classes that were considered to violate their faith. Mink argued that Muslim families do not have the right to completely take their children out of certain lessons or stop them from studying LGBTQ books in the same way that parents are not allowed to take their children out of lessons on education.
The Democrat also added that this is about “equity” and has nothing to do with trespassing on any rights, including religious freedom.
Sa’ad, one of the children who had opposed the topics in school, stated that they wanted to talk about their rights, and while their religion taught them to respect all other people, he would also like for them to have the opt-out option for certain subjects.
Ibrahim Raziuddin, who is also a student at the school, stated that children younger than him are not usually prepared to hear and discuss these issues.
