(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – On Sunday, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) expressed worries regarding the potential delay of former President Donald Trump’s legal cases and argued that a delay in the presidential immunity case which is currently being examined by the Supreme Court would be a “terrible decision.”

If the cases against Trump do not end up being delayed there is the possibility that a result of these trials could come before the November 2024 election. Schiff has stated that the Jan. 6 election interference case is the most crucial one and that the Supreme Court needed to be quick in making a decision regarding whether or not Trump can be prosecuted. Trump has repeatedly argued that as the former president, he has immunity from being prosecuted for any of his actions while he was still in office.

During an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union” with Dana Bash, Schiff had argued that the Supreme Court had previously been quick to determine that Trump was eligible to appear on the primary ballot. He added that now the question was whether they would also be fast in determining the immunity claim.

He pointed out that if the Supreme Court does not make a decision swiftly then this could result in the trial being pushed past the presidential election, which he has argued would take away the right of American voters to have information that might alter their decision in the election. He added that Trump’s legal team has specifically been pushing for delays in all the cases against him as they are hoping he will be able to toss away the charges against him if he is reelected.
