(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., slammed the ruling of Fulton County judge after he did not disqualify District Attorney Fani Willis from the prosecution of former President Donald Trump or any of his co-defendants.

In a statement, Graham argued that this was a “sad day” for the state of Georgia and that he considered the ruling to be “nonsensical.”

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee in his ruling had noted that the recently revealed romantic relationship between Willis and Nathan Wade who she had hired to be one of the special prosecutors of this case had shown bad optics which is why one of them was required to leave the prosecution team for the case to continue moving forward. On Friday afternoon following the ruling Wade opted to step down from the case.

Graham in his statement argued that this ruling was “nonsensical.” He then added that when it came to the prosecution of President Biden politics were hanging heavy in the air. He proceeded to say that both the charges that Willis had brought forward and the choice of the judge not to have her removed despite the impropriety further showcases what has been referred to as a “two-tiered system of justice”  when it came to Trump and all those surrounding him.

Co-defendant Michael Roman’s attorney had pushed for the removal of both Wade and Willis arguing that they had used the case to enrich themselves. Attorney Ashleigh Merchant also claimed that Willis had paid large amounts to Wade in return for his work and that the two had used these funds to pay for vacations.
