(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley responded to the unanimous ruling of the Supreme Court in favor of former president Donald Trump arguing that she was “very happy” that Trump would be allowed to participate in the primary race in Colorado on Monday. She also dismissed the challenges using the 14th Amendment’s Section 3 against Trump which questioned whether or not he is eligible to serve in the White House.

During an appearance on CNN’s “The Lead,” Haley told Jake Tapper that she believes the choice should be left to voters who will ultimately get to decide whether or not they want to see the former President leading the country again.

She proceeded to tell Tapper that they want to have the chaos of some states and secretaries of state deciding that Trump should be kept off the ballot. Instead, she argued that she trusted the American people to make a choice on who they wanted to lead the United States. She continued by stating that this was why she was happy to have seen the ruling of the Supreme Court.

The court ruled against Colorado’s Supreme Court which had found late last year that former President Trump should be disqualified under the insurrection clause. However, the Supreme Court found in its majority that the states did not have the necessary authority to make such decisions and that the authority to disqualify candidates under this amendment was one that only Congress had.

Haley is currently the only major challenger to still be in the Republican presidential primary race against Trump, despite trailing behind him.
