(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – On Wednesday, the Washington Post released a story about President Joe Biden allegedly having “explosions” over his team not taking action to mitigate the situation at the U.S.-Mexico border.
According to a former official who spoke with the Washington Post on the condition they would remain anonymous, in the past week, as the expiration of Title 42 was approaching, Biden got frustrated multiple times with his aides over their inaction about the border crisis.
The official noted that Biden, in his outbursts, would often tell them that they were repeating to him the same things week after week. Then, a few minutes after his explosion, he would apologize to his aides and tell them that he understood they were trying.
Leon Panetta, former Obama defense secretary and a member of the Department of Homeland Security’s advisory council, also revealed to the Post that he was not certain about whether or not the administration was ready for Title 42 to expire, adding that he was unsure about whether or not they were ready for all the consequences of the order’s expiration. He added that many of the challenges that will arise as a result will be faced head-on.
Title 42 is a pandemic-era public health order that allowed the Biden administration to expel thousands of immigrants from the country without needing to go through the asylum process. The order expired on Thursday. In anticipation of the expiration, Biden told reporters on Tuesday that the situation at the border was going to be “chaotic for a while.”
