(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback for the New York Jets, has addressed allegations that he endorsed conspiracy theories related to the 2012 Sandy Hook shooting. Rodgers clarified that he has always acknowledged the occurrence of the event. This clarification came amidst discussions about him potentially being considered for the vice-presidential slot in Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s independent presidential bid.

Reports emerged, notably from CNN, suggesting that Rodgers had expressed in private that the tragic event in Newtown, Connecticut, which resulted in the death of 26 individuals, including 20 children, was orchestrated by the government. These reports also mentioned that he believed this angle was being overlooked by the media.

Rodgers took to the social media platform X, previously known as Twitter, to describe the Sandy Hook Elementary School incident as a “tragedy,” firmly stating his belief in the reality of the events. He emphasized the importance of learning from such calamities to prevent future loss of life, offering his thoughts and prayers to the families and the community affected.

However, Mark Bankston, a lawyer who represented the Sandy Hook victims’ families in a lawsuit against conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, criticized Rodgers. Bankston expressed disappointment upon learning that Rodgers allegedly suggested the grieving Sandy Hook parents were deceitful.

Rodgers has faced previous criticisms for his political stances, particularly regarding his dissemination of false information about COVID-19 vaccines and misleading the public about his own vaccination status. Similarly, Kennedy, who initially participated in the Democratic primary before opting for an independent run, has been scrutinized for spreading vaccine misinformation.

Kennedy’s campaign is set to announce their vice-presidential candidate soon, with former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura also being considered for the position.
