(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – In a recent MSNBC interview, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) criticized the billionaires who have provided financial support to former President Donald Trump. As he told Chris Hayes, they were “greedy” for backing Trump in his 2024 presidential campaign and supporting his agenda.

On Friday, during the interview Sanders, who is the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, argued that this was a time of tremendous “greed” and that these billionaires were choosing to “give up democracy” rather than suffer from any hits themselves. He added that these were people who would do everything in their power to ensure that their current position and wealth is maintained and that Trump is an example of people who sell out for money.

Sanders, who launched a presidential campaign in 2020, noted that there are several areas in which billionaires held tremendous influence, including climate change and health care. He pointed out that Trump was someone who wanted to destroy the planet and further “deregulate the fossil fuel industry.” He added that in his opinion this is because of billionaires who were open to spending large “amounts of money” just in an effort to control the narrative.

When asked about how much money donors and political action committees follow the 2010 Supreme Court Citizens United decision, which allowed for federal elections to have unlimited independent spending, Sanders pointed out that it is hard for an election to be won without having money from a billionaire backing it. He added that those who go against corporate interests and stand up for the working class are “going to lose” and that their “days are numbered.”
