(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – A new ad from Make America Great Again Inc., a super PAC (political action committee) that supports former President Donald Trump has released a new ad in which they attack former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley following her recent remarks on the U.S. southern border’s immigration issues.
In the ad the narrator states that there are rapists and drug traffickers “poisoning” the United States, but that Haley had refused to call these people “criminals.”
This is a reference to a 2015 event in Colorado, where Haley had argued that it was “disrespectful” to describe those who were illegally crossing the U.S. border as “criminals.”
Haley is the daughter of Indian immigrant parents. Recently she has stated that the surge in illegal immigrants surging into the country was “incredibly frustrating” as the United States was a “country of laws.”
She added that they should also remember that the United States was a country of immigrants and that her immigrant parents reminded her daily of the blessing that it was to live in the United States. Still, as she shared her parents resented those who illegally entered the country. However, as she pointed out it was important to remember that many of these migrants just wanted to give their children a better life and that many families are desperate to get to the United States.
In the ad, Haley is accused of being against the border wall that Trump has advocated for. In his 2016 campaign, Trump had promised to construct a border wall that would be funded by Mexico, however, Mexico never funded the wall construction which remains uncompleted.
