(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Former president Donald Trump argued that his choice for vice president would not be surprising to voters. He added that he has not yet made a final decision on who his running mate would be and downplayed the importance of his VP during the race.
Trump reportedly stated that he might have decided something about who his choice would be but that he was not in a rush to choose. He added that his choice was not going to have any impact and that the person he had selected was a “very good person.” He then pointed out that he did not believe that people would be surprised and that currently there is around a 25 percent chance that they would be his running mate. Trump also emphasized that the vice presidential candidate was not that important and that they had never had an important role in the election, which is what was “amazing.”
However, while Trump has not yet revealed who he is considering as possible running mates, many in his circle have been pushing for him to choose a female running mate. Earlier this month Trump had indicated that he was also open to the possibility of it being someone who had run against him in the 2024 presidential election.
He previously spoke positively for South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott who he had referred to as a “great guy” but he had not placed a lot of attention on the Senator instead focusing on how many people from that state had endorsed him instead of former U.N. ambassador Nikki Haley.
