(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – On Tuesday, former President Trump attacked former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (Republican) following Christie’s New Hampshire town hall speech in which he attacked Trump.
Christie officially launched his 2024 presidential bid during a town hall at Saint Anselm College on Tuesday. During his speech, he referred to Trump, stating that he is like “Voldemort,” the famous villain from Harry Potter. He also stated that Trump was a “lonely, self-consumed, self-serving mirror hog.”
Following these statements, Trump was quick to take to his social media platform, Truth Social, to slam Christie. In his post, he questioned how many times Christie had mentioned the word “small” and whether he had any psychological issues pertaining to size. He then proceeded to state that what was “small” was Christie’s speech and that it was also not a very good one as he rambled and most people did not even know what he was talking about.
Trump’s attack did not end there, though. He added that Christie was a failed New Jersey governor who had left office with only a 7 percent approval rating. He then failed in New Hampshire, and he is going to fail in the presidential race.
While Republicans generally view Christie as a longshot candidate, his Tuesday speech showed that he could still cause problems for former President Donald Trump, who is currently considered the front-runner in the race. He is also one of the few candidates to repeatedly criticize Trump, which could affect the former president’s position in the long run.
Some Republicans have pointed out that Christie’s pugilistic nature could pose problems for other Republican candidates, especially if he starts attacking them in the same way he attacks Trump.
