(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – On Monday, President Joe Biden stated during the annual Easter Egg Roll that this holiday was a time for unity and forgiveness.
After the roll started, President Biden, first lady Jill Biden, and the Easter Bunny came out onto the balcony of the White House to greet all the people who had come to the White House lawn for the event. As Biden told reporters Easter for him was a time for unity, love, and forgiveness. He added that this was a time when people needed to be honest and that there should not be any “phoniness.”
The White House Easter Egg Roll tradition started in 1878 and this year had the theme “EGGucation.” As part of the things set up on the South Lawn were a number of educational activities, physical and reading zones, and a “field trip to the farm” area.
From the balcony of the White House, Biden told the crowd that Easter was a time when they were reminded of sacrifice, resurrection, hope and the power of showing grace and love to one another. He added that this was a time when people should pray for each other and for all the possibilities they have as Americans.
He continued by arguing that the reason the United States was great was because it was filled with “good people” who had values. He added that they have become an example for the world and were determined to continue being one.
Biden also greeted some of those in attendance and blew the whistle for the young children who started to roll the eggs using the wooden spoons.
