(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – President Biden is looking to avoid an escalation of the war in the Middle East after this weekend’s attack by Iran against Israel. Iran has claimed that the hundreds of drones and missiles that they sent out were in retaliation for the attack in Damascus which had led to a top Iranian general dying.

Biden is going to need to convince Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, along with his other allies, to not escalate the situation further. Following the Oct. 7 attack against Israel, which led to a war in Gaza there has been high levels of tension in the region. Biden had reportedly informed Israeli leaders that the United States would not be involved in any offensive operations launched by Israel against Iran going forward.

John Kirby, the White House national security spokesperson, had to respond to a number of questions on Sunday on whether the administration was certain that Biden’s message about avoiding a conflict and war had been understood by Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

When questioned about the reports that Biden had told Netanyahu to just “take the win,” Kirby opted to focus on the “success” of Israel. He added that it was clear that they supported the country’s self-defense.

During an appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Kirby also had to answer questions regarding the message that Biden had for the prime minister. In response, he argued that the main mission that had been delivered by the president was congratulatory as he noted that the Israel Defense Forces had done an exceptional job at defending the country and eliminating the threats.

He continued by saying that he would not be going into any more detail and that he would just refer to what the President has continued to say which is that they don’t want an escalation and wider war in the region.
