(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Senator Joe Manchin (W.Va.) has increased his criticisms of President Biden’s leadership, which has led to fear within the Democratic Party that he might place a bid for the White House as a third-party candidate in 2024.
Manchin recently spoke about his over a decade-long relationship with No Labels, the centrist political group that is trying to gain access to the ballot in all 50 states in an attempt to open up the pathway for third-party candidates to enter the U.S. presidential election.
Manchin further touted the group’s efforts, claiming that they are the only ones in Washington who are trying to get the two major parties to cooperate at a time when people want less partisanship in politics.
He pointed out that people are tired of having to always see everyone fighting and arguing against everyone and are instead “starving” to see more cooperation.
Manchin, who has been asked about whether he would consider running on the No Labels ticket, has so far refused to state whether or not he was planning on running for the presidency as a third-party candidate. Last week, he also informed reporters that he would not be making any decisions for the future until the end of 2023.
This is not unlike him, as he did not announce his campaign for a third Senate term in 2018 until late January of that year. Manchin is also up for reelection next year, and the Republicans have already arranged for Governor Jim Justice to run against him, which they hope will increase their chances of winning that seat.
