(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Fox News Digital recently reported that in California, the government has sanctioned the formation of a homeless encampment near a local courthouse on Sonoma County’s administrative campus in Santa Rosa.

Photos from Sonoma County, which is located close to California’s well-known wine region, show blue tents across a parking lot where 100 homeless individuals are able to live. The taxpayer-funded homeless encampment was approved by the leaders of the county this year, following the declaration of a “shelter crisis.”

The administrative complex where the homeless grounds are set up includes many different offices, including Sonoma County Human Resources, the county registrar, the Superior Court of California, and the district attorney’s office. One of the photos from the area shows a pile of trash in the parking lot right next to the bikes, while a different photo shows a person who is looking through the garbage dumpsters.

In March, the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors approved the creation of the homeless center on the government campus following concerns about the surge in homelessness along the Joe Rodota Trail. The old train line was paved over to become a trail, which over the years has turned into a homeless encampment at various times. This winter, the county actively worked to remove all the tents from the trail and stop people from living there.

The county has noted that the homeless encampment on the administrative campus is being managed by DEMA Consulting & Management, and there is round-the-clock security overseeing the shelter. There are also behavioral and physical health care services provided on-site.
