(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – On Tuesday, President Biden held a press conference, which did little to appease the media, who are growing frustrated by the rarity and inaccessibility of Biden answering their questions, especially when compared to previous presidents.
A longtime Washington correspondent told Fox News that expecting Biden to hold press conferences and answer questions from reporters is fairly basic. They added that there has been growing annoyance because of the limited number of press conferences and opportunities that reporters get to have Biden answer their questions. They proceeded to note that reporters are not there for their “own personal well-being,” and they have a job to represent their listeners, readers, and viewers.
A White House correspondent also added to the conversation that Biden’s being kept away from the White House press has led to growing worries and concerns among the press corps. They continued on to say that they wouldn’t be surprised if Biden had only one more full solo press conference for the remainder of his political career.
Last week, the New York Times reported that Biden has had the fewest press conferences since Ronald Reagan. President Trump, during his time in office, has given 202 press conferences, and President Obama has given 275, while Vice President Biden has only given 24 press conferences, and during his first two years in office, he has given 54 interviews.
White House officials have responded to these criticisms by stating that Biden had “nearly 400” question-and-answer sessions, but as the Times notes, many of these were often “very brief.”
