(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – In a new interview, President Joe Biden claimed that there was evidence of China attempting to meddle in the U.S. presidential election. He added that “all the bad guys” were rooting for former President Donald Trump to win a second term in office.
During an interview with Time magazine earlier this month, which was published on Tuesday, Biden stated that there was evidence of meddling. However, he did not go into further detail. When a reporter had interjected stating that it sounded like China was meddling, Biden had responded by stating that the country would have an interest in doing that.
He pointed out that all of “the bad guys” were hoping that Trump would win.
In the interview, Biden also recounted that he was often told by foreign leaders that it was very important for him to win his reelection in order to protect the U.S. democracy as well as democracy abroad.
The comments of the president had come after Secretary of State Antony Blinken had argued in April, after a three-day trip to China, that there were some signs that there were attempts by China to influence or interfere with the U.S. election.
CNN in a report noted that during a November meeting, Biden had warned Chinese President Xi Jinping not to attempt to interfere with the 2024 presidential election.
Earlier this year it was revealed by Taiwanese groups that Chinese actors had participated in a big disinformation campaign during the national elections in the island. These allegations have resulted in concerns about the U.S. election being potentially at risk.
