(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – A short clip of President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill Biden, walking on Rehoboth Beach in Delaware has led to many Republicans slamming and condemning the president.
In the clip, Biden is asked by one reporter about the recent release of two Americans who had been held hostage by Hamas. However, Biden does not answer the question; instead, he waves towards the reporter.
Biden’s visit to the beach has come at a time when the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas has been escalating. On Friday, Hamas released two American hostages, 59-year-old Judith Tai Raanan and her 17-year-old daughter Natalie. These are the first captives that Hamas has released since the attack on October 7, when the hostages were taken. The group is designated by the U.S. as a terrorist organization.
Following the attack, Israel stated they were at war with Hamas and proceeded to launch an airstrike in retaliation for their heaviest-ever airstrikes against Gaza. Since the start of the conflict, over 1,400 people in Israel and 4,651 people in Gaza have lost their lives. The Palestinian Health Ministry has also reported that 14,254 people have suffered injuries because of the war.
Conservatives have slammed Biden for his visit to the beach. The White House had previously stated that following Biden’s recent visit to Israel, the President had been working from Delaware. They further noted that he continued to be in communication with Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The RNC Research group took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to write that while Biden was at the beach, Hamas was holding Americans hostage.
Former GOP congressional candidate for Tennessee’s 5th district, Robby Starbuck, similarly stated that Biden was spending time at the beach. He proceeded to question what this would be called if it were a soap opera for Biden and suggested the title “’As the World Burns.’”
