(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – The Tulsa Police Department reported that a driver in the area stopped his vehicle and tackled a suspect that was being chased by police officers. The police report stated that the incident first started when officers tried to stop a man and woman who were in the city’s downtown area. The officers then attempted to ask them some questions.

When the police questioned the man, he lied, stating that he was David. He then started to move towards the curb in a way that made it appear as if he would take a seat, but instead, he started running across the road.

The police officer’s body cam footage captured the incident, with the video being released on Friday by the police department. Two officers tried chasing the suspect, with one calling in his description and the location they were in. The man was identified following the incident as Miguel Fernandez.

While the officers were running after Fernandez, a man who was driving down Denver Avenue proceeded to stop his truck and then tackle Fernandez. Fernandez tried to avoid being tackled; however, he was unsuccessful, which is why he started yelling at the man, asking why he would do that to him.

An officer close by proceeded to arrest Fernandez while the Oklahoma driver returned to his vehicle.

Fernandez was arrested following the incident for possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest. Following his arrest, the police discovered that he had a felony warrant for conspiracy, larceny, burglary, and illegal firearm possession.
