(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – On Monday, former President Donald Trump slammed Nikki Haley, a GOP presidential candidate, pointing out that he is still leading in the Republican primary race by a big margin with only one month to go until the contest.
In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump questioned where the reported surge of Haley’s was, and stated that while the media were talking about it, he could not see that surge reflected on the Ground or in the Polls. He added that in any case, he hoped both Haley and “DeSanctimonious” were “doing well” and that they would continue to have the surge that they have reportedly been having for the last eight weeks.
In a recent NBC News/Des Moines Register/Mediacom poll focused on Iowa, it was found that 51 percent of respondents were going to support Trump in the Jan. 15 caucuses, while Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis would receive the support of 19 percent and Haley 16 percent.
Former U.N. ambassador and former South Carolina Gov. Haley has been fighting for the number 2 spot in the primary race against DeSantis. However, both of them still have a wide margin to go in order to take on Trump. Last week, the two spared during the Republican primary debate, which Trump had skipped.
Trump has maintained his strong lead in both state and national polls, however, his Republican challengers do have a strong showing in New Hampshire and Iowa, which they are hoping could lead to them potentially challenging Trump for the nomination.
