(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Former President Donald Trump argued recently that it was not President Biden’s age that made him a bad choice for the White House, but rather it was his mental capacity.

Age has become a central issue in the 2024 Presidential election as both parties have leading candidates who are older. Biden is going to be turning 81 in November, while Trump is 77 and if he wins a second term in the White House he will be 82 by the time he leaves the White House again. However, Trump has repeatedly claimed that his age does not have any effect on how he can run the country.

On Sunday, Trump took to his social media platform, Truth Social to criticize a Wall Street Journal poll that was released last week in which voters were asked whether Trump was mentally capable of serving in the White House. Of the 1,500 poll respondents, 49 percent did not believe him to be capable of mentally handling the presidency.

Around 24 percent of those asked also claimed that Trump was too old to be running for the White House. Similarly, 49 percent of respondents stated that Biden lacked the mental abilities to serve in the White House, while 45 percent of respondents believed that he was too old to be running for the Oval Office.

Trump in his post claimed that the Wall Street Journal poll was phony and most likely rigged and that it was just an attempt to lessen the “mental incompetence” criticisms faced by Biden. He proceeded to question where the questions about his age and mental state had come from.
