(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – On Wednesday, during a radio interview with conservative host Hugh Hewitt, former President Donald Trump claimed that he was open to testifying in his defense trial related to his alleged mishandling of classified documents in his Mar-a-Lago home.

Trump, who is currently leading the 2024 Republican presidential primary race, is set to have his trial in this case in May. The case relates to the hundreds of sensitive national security documents that were recovered from Trump’s home in Mar-a-Lago during an FBI search last year. Trump is being charged with mishandling the documents after leaving office in 2021 and with having obstructed the government’s attempts to recover the documents.

Trump has pleaded not guilty to all 40 charges in this case and has claimed that the case against him is politically motivated. This is one of the four indictments that Trump faced this year, and it is one of the cases that could end up going to trial next year.
However, for Trump, testifying at the funeral could prove to be risky, as prosecutors are going to try to get more damaging information out of him while he is under oath. Trump has always claimed to be willing to testify in probes, even though in some cases he has not ended up testifying as the cases progressed.

In 2018, he was willing to testify before former U.S. Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who was responsible for the probe into the collusion allegations between Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and the Russian government.
