(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – On Saturday night, former President Donald Trump stated during a speech at the New York Young Republicans Club Gala that the primary culprit for runaway inflation is Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky.

Trump criticized McConnell for appearing “checked out” and stated that he hoped the Senate GOP leader would leave the Senate soon. He proceeded to warn that under the Biden administration, the United States could potentially fall into a depression. McConnell was integral in assisting Senate Democrats to get the necessary votes for the big spending packages to go through and increase the debt ceiling.

He added that the country was extremely close to “a depression” that was unlike anything that anyone had seen. He pointed out that the country owes a total of $36 trillion and yet Biden appeared to be completely unaware. He then stated that McConnell proceeded to give him another $10 trillion. This is why he considers McConnell to be worse than anyone else as he had been the one to allow Biden to win the necessary votes.

Trump proceeded to criticize the decision and say that the GOP was disgraced by this decision, and it was also a disgrace to the country. He then joked that he needed to not be as critical of McConnell because both Steve Bannon, a former White House strategic adviser, and Rep. Matt Gaetz were big fans of the Senate Minority Leader.
