(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Fox News’ Bret Baier questioned former President Donald Trump about the recent nickname he gave to Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley which is based on her birth name. The interview was aired on Sunday, and in it Trump doubled down on his decision to mock her, arguing that the idea had just come to him for the new nickname.

Over the last week, Trump has taken to referring to Haley on Social Media as “Nimbra” a name inspired by Haley’s birth name. As he argued, he likes to give nicknames to people and argued that this was a useful strategy during his campaign trail. He added that this was something that he did with many people including Hutchinson, who was polling at zero for a year. He then states what

With Haley specifically, he noted that this is something that just came and that this was just something to do with the name, regardless of where it originated from.

Haley’s parents are both Indian immigrants, but she was born in South Carolina. Haley’s birth name is Nimrata Nikki Randhawa. Over the years she adopted her middle name “Nikki.” However, Trump has opted for the name “Nimbra” as a means of attacking her.

Trump told Baier that some people had argued that he was good at that, but that he did not want to bring those people up. He then noted that this was just a takeoff platform that he enjoyed using and that it was a very effective tool.
