(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – On Saturday, former President Donald Trump stated during a rally in Las Vegas that his former vice president, Mike Pence, who had dropped out of the 2024 presidential race, needed to endorse him.
As he said, all of the GOP candidates who were leaving the race were endorsing him. He added that he did not know about Mike Pence, but he needed to endorse him because he had been a successful president in the past and Pence had served as his vice president.
During Trump’s 2016 and 2020 presidential campaigns, Pence had been the running mate of the former president and had remained firm in his support of the former president during his four years in office. However, following Pence’s refusal to overturn the 2020 presidential election, the relationship between the two men soured.
Trump remarked that in politics, people could often be “disloyal.”
On Saturday, Pence announced in a speech at the Republican Jewish Coalition Conference that he would be dropping out of the presidential race. He added that during his campaign, it had become clear that this was not his time, but that nonetheless, this could still be the time for the American people.
Pence had first entered the presidential race in June and became one of the many Republicans trying to win the nomination. Trump, Pence’s former boss, is the frontrunner in the presidential race and is widely considered to be the one who will win the presidential nomination for the GOP.
Pence has often praised the Trump-Pence administration for all their accomplishments and has spoken with pride about everything they have done.
