(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – On Saturday, Ken Paxton, the Attorney General of Texas, published a letter blasting the White House following his recent impeachment trial, where he was acquitted on 16 counts.

Paxton was facing several counts of bribery, corruption, and being unfit for office. The impeachment charges had been brought forward by a bipartisan group of Texas state senators. Out of the jury members, two Republicans and 12 Democrats voted for his impeachment. Specifically, Paxton was being accused of having misused his political power in order to hire real estate developer Nate Paul, who was the employer of Laura Olson, Paxton’s alleged mistress.

Paxton has also been accused of retaliating against former employees who had been the ones to report his alleged wrongdoings, as well as for dereliction of duty.

In order for Paxton to be impeached, the jury would need 21 votes, or two-thirds of the jury, to vote for his impeachment. However, that threshold was not reached, and the vote finished on Saturday before 1 p.m.

In his letter, Paxton claims that the “sham impeachment” against him was coordinated by liberal House Speaker Dade Phelan and the Biden administration and that it has not only harmed the work of his office but also cost millions of taxpayer dollars. He further claimed that it had “left a dark and permanent stain on the Texas House.”

He proceeded to claim that the White House was pushing “lawless policies” and stated that President Joe Biden would be “held accountable” for the weaponization of impeachments.
