( – On Wednesday, Rep. Cory Mills, R-Fla., revealed to Fox News Digital that he had managed to help 32 Americans evacuate from Israel following the start of the war in the country. As he stated, he is planning on arranging a second mission for other Americans who are trying to leave the country but have thus far been unable to find flights.

As he revealed, he managed to arrange the trip for the Americans with the help of the U.S. embassy in Jordan. The 32 Americans in question had been trying to get a flight out of Tel Aviv but had been unable to due to multiple airlines canceling flights to the region. Mills, however, managed to get the Americans to leave through the Jordanian border. From there, the Americans were able to take flights from Jordan to the United States.

Mills stated that to him, being a statesman and being a politician As he shared, these were two different things, as one of them took action while the other only talked. He added that he could not just sit around while knowing that people were dying in Israel.

As he pointed out, his efforts were not making a massive dent when considering the thousands of people trapped in Israel currently, but at least he had helped 32 people get out, and he was hoping to be able to get even more people out.

While the mission ended up being a success, originally things did not go according to plan. Mills stated that originally an armored vehicle was meant to transport him and the travelers to Jordan, but after that plan fell through, he had to arrange a bus for the transportation of the travelers.
