(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – On Saturday, Detroit Police revealed in a statement that the president of a Detroit synagogue had been found dead outside her home. Samantha Woll was spotted at first by a passerby at around 6:30 a.m.

According to the police, Woll had been stabbed, and there was a “trail of blood” that led all the way inside her home. Officers noted that it appears the crime occurred within the home.

Woll was Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.), a former staffer and the president of the Isaac Agree Downtown Synagogue. Slotkin released a statement on Facebook following the incident, expressing her condolences and praising Woll for the work she had done as one of her staffers, helping her set up her office as Congresswoman. She added that her heart broke at this “senseless act” and that she was going to miss her dedication to serving and her “bright smile.”

Police have noted that they have not yet identified a motive behind the kill.

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel, whom Woll had worked for during his campaign last year, also put out a statement on social media stating he was “horrified” at the “brutal murder.” She noted that Woll had a deep “love” for her country and community and that she had used her activism to make the world a better place.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) also called the news heartbreaking and stated that Woll had actively worked to make Michigan better.
