(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – A law enforcement officer from Arkansas was among the trio apprehended in a recent operation against child sex trafficking in Texas.

Officer Telvin Wilson, 31, from Texarkana, faces charges for attempting to solicit a minor online. Since 2016, Wilson has been part of the Texarkana, Arkansas, Police Department.

Texarkana straddles the boundary between Texas and Arkansas, encompassing two adjacent cities. The operation was spearheaded by the police force in Texas.

Details of the sting were shared on the Texarkana, Texas, Police Department’s Facebook page. Officers set up a decoy advertisement on a website associated with prostitution, where they impersonated a minor. When potential culprits reached out, they were made aware of the ‘girl’s’ age.

Despite being informed of her age, all three suspects expressed interest in meeting and proposed monetary compensation in exchange for sexual activities. The police department recounted the surprise on the suspects’ faces when officers, rather than the expected minor, greeted them upon arrival.

Following the discovery of Wilson’s involvement, the Texarkana, Arkansas, Police Department relayed to media outlets that his employment was promptly terminated. A previous post on social media by Wilson revealed his aspirations for positive community impact through his policing role. He expressed a desire to bridge the gap, serving as a trusted figure for the younger population to approach and converse with.

The other individuals detained were identified as Adarius Wills, 33, and James Willis, 37. Wills is being accused of attempting to solicit a minor online and distributing marijuana. Meanwhile, Willis faces multiple charges, including solicitation online, distribution of controlled substances, and resisting and evading arrest. Additionally, charges for endangering a child with the intent of returning and possession of controlled substances were levied against Willis. Bail amounts for Wills and Wilson have been set at $85,000 and $100,000, respectively, while Willis’s is pending.

In their press statement, the police extended their gratitude to various agencies, including the Bowie County Sheriff’s Office, FBI, and Texas Department of Public Safety, for their vital contributions to the operation.
