(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville (R), who has halted all nominations and promotions of U.S. military officials, has now issued a new threat against the Pentagon. Over the past few months, Tuberville has protested against all of the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) nominations as a way of showing his opposition to the new Pentagon policy that would provide the time off and funds required for service members to travel to a different state than the one they are deployed in so that they can gain access to abortion services.

In a statement shared on Friday with Breitbart News, Tuberville argued that he had warned the Pentagon of what would happen if they decided to go against the law, and still they had done it regardless. He added that Chuck Schumer, the Senate Majority Leader, and the rest of the Biden administration had not been willing to have any negotiations about this, which is why the situation had “dragged on.”

He added that this has allowed him to have more time to look into many of the nominees and their backgrounds, and that he was very concerned about some of the nominees. Based on these concerns, over the coming weeks, he will announce which specific nominees he will oppose.

Tuberville has argued that the abortion policy is going against the Hyde Amendment, which blocks the use of federal funding for abortion procedures unless the pregnancy is the result of rape, incest, or the procedure would help save the mother’s life.
