(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – On Wednesday, former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) joined the Democrats who have been defending President Joe Biden following a report by the Wall Street Journal that called into question the mental acuity of President Joe Biden and his ability to perform in private meetings.
Pelosi took to X to slam the reporting which she argued had barely referred to the interactions that Democrats have had with Biden and instead placed the focus on attacks faced by the GOP. As she argued many of them have experience with the President and have had the opportunity to witness his strategic thinking, wisdom, and experience. Still, as she pointed out the Wall Street Journal had opted to ignore all of those accounts and instead focus its reporting on the attacks by the Republicans. She added that the report was a “hit piece.”
The report uses the interviews that reporters have had with 45 people over a few months, including not only Republicans but also Democrats. As part of the stories reported on there is one example where Biden had resorted to reading from his notes during a private meeting about foreign aid to Ukraine. In other reports, it was noted that Trump is often speaking so softly that it is hard for others to hear him and that he sometimes defers questions to his aides.
The Journal specifically stated that the majority of the criticisms had come from the GOP but that there were some Democrats who had also complained that Biden had started to exhibit signs of his age.
