(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to insist that he was serious about the threats to all for House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) to be ousted if he does not hold a vote to launch an impeachment inquiry into President Biden.
“Fox & Friends” host Brian Kilmeade had previously blasted Gaetz for his threats that he would push for McCarthy to be ousted. He had stated further that Gaetz was “speaking into the wind” with his threats. Gaetz, who has responded a number of times to news personalities questioning whether he was serious about his threats, posted a video clip of Kilmeade on X along with a response on Thursday.
Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell (Calif.) who has also criticized Gaetz for his threats claimed in a post on X that she did not know of any other of her colleagues making more “empty threats” than Gaetz. She argued that this was what he did every day and that he would never bring forward a motion to have McCarthy removed. She then finished her post by claiming that she was not working with serious people.
Gaetz proceeded to respond to this tweet by reposting it and writing “Bookmark this tweet” in the caption. He has also maintained that he was going to be filing a motion to have McCarthy removed if there was no vote and questioned whether he would receive any Democratic votes if he brought forward a motion to have McCarthy removed.
Last week Gaetz claimed that he was going to be pursuing an impeachment inquiry into President Biden in connection to the Biden family’s foreign business activities during Biden’s time serving as Vice President.
