(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – On Wednesday, former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) joined NBC News’s Gabe Guttierrez, where he stated that, above all other 2024 Republican presidential candidates, the one he would support is former New Jersey governor Chris Christie. This comment was made after the third GOP presidential primary debate, which took place in Miami.
Guttierez asked Kinzinger if any of the presidential candidates that had been on the debate stage had stood out to him. In response, he argued that this was a tough choice, especially when no one was willing to take on the Republican frontrunner. He added that during the debate, there were not a lot of compelling reasons presented for why they needed to vote for someone other than former President Donald Trump.
Trump himself has decided to skip all of the presidential debates thus far, arguing that his large lead in the presidential race means that he does not need to debate with other presidential hopefuls.
Kinzinger proceeded to say that out of everyone, the one he supports is Christie because he was always truthful. He added that for him, it was particularly important right now to choose someone who was truthful, especially considering how tough the road ahead is.
Despite this statement, Christie is polling significantly worse than many of the other presidential candidates. His performance in the debate also received mixed reviews from the former Representative, who argued that Christie’s chance of becoming the party’s nominee was “small,” especially because he is the candidate in the presidential race who most openly opposes Trump.
