(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Vice President Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter has been promoting a fundraiser on social media that is in support of providing relief to the children in Gaza. Rep. Jeff Van Drew was quick to slam this move stating that it was “abhorrent.”
The 24-year-old daughter of Doug Emhoff who is married to Harris, recently posted on her Instagram page where she has over 315,000 a link to the fundraiser. The link that Ella Emhoff shared is for a fundraiser that has so far raised over $7.8 million for the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund, which is a nonprofit based in Ohio. ProPublica in their report noted that the organization has raised over $21 million since 2021.
It is not yet clear whether Ella Emhoff has also made a donation in support of the cause. Still, the Republican Representative stated that it was concerning that she was promoting the page. He added that he was “stunned” and that he found the situation to be “disturbing to the maximum degree.”
Van Drew is also in the House Homeland Security Committee and as he said he was fairly certain that all of the money that was intended to be used in Gaza for humanitarian aid would be taken by Hamas.
While Doug Emhoff, Ella’s father is Jewish she has often stated that she does not observe the religion. One of her representatives had previously stated that she was “not Jewish” and that she does not celebrate the religion nor had she grown up with it.
