(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – On Wednesday a federal judge in Delaware instructed Hunter Biden that he needed to actively look for employment, completely abstain from alcohol and drugs, take random drug tests, and not possess a firearm if he wants to remain out of jail.
U.S. District Court Judge Maryellen Noreika set these conditions on Hunter Biden as there is an ongoing investigation focused on him in Delaware. Last month, Hunter Biden was charged with two misdemeanor crimes relating to failing to pay taxes in 2017 and 2018 on over $1.5 million in income, which would have resulted in an income tax payment of more than $100,000.
On Wednesday, Hunter Biden was expected to enter a plea agreement that had been agreed upon with prosecutors. As part of the agreement, he would plead guilty and avoid jail time, instead being subjected to two years of probation. However, following the Judge’s rejection of the plea deal he pleaded not guilty in the courthouse.
However, Judge Noreika rejected the plea deal, pointing out that she was concerned about some of the plea agreement terms and about the fact that there was still an ongoing investigation into Hunter Biden.
There was also an agreement on a separate gun charge relating to the unlawful possession of a firearm but a substance user. Hunter Biden has admitted to having abused drugs in the past. If he manages to adhere to the terms set forth in this agreement, then the gun charge could be completely removed from his record. If not, Hunter Biden could face up to 10 years in prison for that felony charge.
