(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – On Tuesday, the campaign of Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley warned that following her loss in the presidential primary in Michigan, to former President Donald Trump, then losing the governor’s mansion and the control of the Legislature to the Democrats would not be good for the Republican party if Trump is selected as the nominee.

Decision Desk HQ called the race shortly after polls closed at 9 p.m. ET when only around 24 percent of the votes had been counted. At the time Trump had 66.8 percent while Haley had received only 28.4 percent. So far, Trump has won all the GOP presidential nominating contests against Haley by a large margin. He is now going towards the March 5th, Super Tuesday leading by a significant margin in the race. On that day 36 percent of the GOP delegates were going to decide on a leader.

However, Haley’s campaign has argued that the GOP in Michigan was “divided” ever since the Trump presidency which has allowed the Democrats to win control of both the governor’s mansion and Legislature.

In a statement to Newsmax, Haley’s presidential campaign national spokesperson Olivia Perez-Cubas pointed out that currently, President Joe Biden was only losing around 20 percent of the Democratic vote today. She argued that while many have considered this a sign of weakness it was important to consider that Trump lost around 35 percent of the vote. She argued that this was a warning sign for the 2024 presidential election for the former President.
