(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – James Toliver Craig, a Colorado dentist, has been accused of poisoning his wife by lacing her protein shakes with cyanide. In a recent interview, Karin Cain, a woman who had been dating Craig, revealed to ABC News that she would have never been with him had she known he was married.
As Cain revealed, the man had duped her and had not revealed the truth about his relationship. Clips from the interview were aired on Wednesday morning, which was also the day that Craig was set to appear in Arapahoe County District Court as prosecutors tried to convince a judge that there was substantial evidence for a first-degree murder trial.
Craig is being accused of having murdered his wife, Angela Craig, who was also the mother of his six children. According to the reports, he allegedly gave her arsenic and cyanide, which resulted in her having seizures on March 15. The seizures left her brain dead, and she was shortly thereafter completely removed from life support.
Cain and Craig had met a man earlier in February, while Cain was going through a divorce. Craig had allegedly told her that he too was in the middle of divorce proceedings and that he was no longer living with his wife.
The arrest affidavit notes that Craig started to poison his wife of 23 years only a few days after the meeting. Cain revealed that while she had felt a connection to Craig, they had not consummated their relationship.
Cain claimed that there was no way she was the motive, as she had only been with Craig for three weeks and the two had not made any plans for the future. Still, she is currently in the middle of the murder investigation.
