(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis in Georgia has been accused of allegedly hiring her romantic partner as one of the prosecutors in the election interference case that led to 19 people, including former President Donald Trump being charged. These latest accusations have resulted in Willis facing many attacks from Trump and the other co-defendants involved in this case.
Last week, co-defendant Mike Roman had his attorney file court papers disclosing the alleged affair. Roman had worked as a Trump 2020 campaign operative and was one of the co-defendants of the former President in the Georgia election interference case. However, in the filing submitted Roman failed to provide any concrete proof of the relationship.
Both Willis and prosecutor Nathan Wade have so far avoided denying the claims.
Over the weekend Willis responded for the first time to the accusations, and while she did not make any direct references to Wade, she did defend his hiring and state that he was a “great friend.” She further called Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) over her push for a criminal investigation to be opened against Willis.
Roman has previously argued that the romantic relationship between Wade and Willis would make the case “defective” and had called for the charges to be dismissed. He has also pushed for Wade, the district attorney’s office, and Willis herself to be blocked from being involved in the case any further. Judge Scott McAfee, who is overseeing the case, is going to hold a hearing to discuss this issue.
