(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – On Friday, President Joe Biden welcomed to the White House the Kansas City Chiefs who for the second consecutive year managed to win the Super Bowl. However, this second win was surrounded by a lot more controversy.
Chiefs Kicker Harrison Butker, who attended the event has received a lot of criticism recently over a commencement speech that he delivered earlier this month in which he pushed for the women in the graduating class to embrace the title of “homemaker.”
The attendees also included Tight End Travis Kelce, who has been in the media a lot in the past year because of his public relationship with music star Taylor Swift, as well as Quarterback Patrick Mahomes. However, during the celebratory event, there was no mention of the controversy surrounding Butker or any comments relating to Swift.
Instead, the event opened up with Biden welcoming the team back to the White House while those in presence applauded. He continued by noting that he liked the “back-to-back” victory, which many perceived to be a comment relating to his hopes of being reelection in 2024.
The team also gifted Biden a Chiefs helmet, which the President had proceeded to put on.
Kelce was invited to take the microphone and speak up, but he opted to step away from the mountain joking that they had told him he would be tased if he came up.
In February the Chiefs managed to win the Super Bowl against the San Fransisco 49ers. They had also won the Super Bowl in 2023.
