(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Failed gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake stated that she was planning on deciding by the end of the year whether or not she would run for the Senate. If she joins the race, she will be one of the many candidates going after the seat currently held by Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I). Democratic Rep. Ruben Gallego (D) has also launched his own campaign for Sinema’s seat.

Sinema, who dropped her Democratic affiliation shortly after the midterm elections last year, is one of the primary targets that the Republicans have for 2024. By flipping Sinema’s seat, the Republicans might potentially manage to flip the entire Senate, which is currently controlled by the Democrats with a 51-49 lead.

Lake, who failed to win the gubernatorial election in 2022 and is a strong supporter of former President Donald Trump, is believed by many Republicans to be a possible danger to the party’s aspirations as she could lead the party to a loss in the Senate election.

If the race ends up being between Sinema, Gallego, and Lake, it is not certain how it will turn out. One GOP consultant argued that Arizona was once again going to be one of the races at the forefront, especially as it had been a battleground in the 2020 presidential election. Arizona, much like Montana, Ohio, and West Virginia, was going to be key to the Republican aspirations in the 2024 race. While the Democrats currently hold the seats in those three states that they will need to maintain, the three states were won by Trump in the 2020 election.
