(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Former President Donald Trump took to Truth Social on Wednesday to comment on the arrest of Rudy Giuliani, his former personal lawyer. In the four-sentence statement, Trump referred to Giuliani as the “greatest Mayor” in New York City history. He proceeded to claim that he had been arrested because he had “fought for Election interference.” Finally, Trump reiterated his claims that the 2020 presidential election had been rigged and stolen.
Last week 19 defendants, including Trump and Giuliani, had been indicted by a Fulton County grand jury in connection to their attempts to change the results of the 2020 presidential election results. Giuliani specifically is facing charges of racketeering in this case. His bond was set at $150,00 and is the second-highest bond set in this case.
Giuliani had been Trump’s attorney following the 2020 presidential election and had been a supporter of Trump’s claims about the presidential election having been stolen by President Joe Biden and the Democrats.
Fani Willis, the Fulton County District Attorney has charged Giuliani with 13 counts, one of which relates to a violation of the state’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act.
Trump, whose own bond in this case was set at $200,000 along with Giuliani, is facing the majority of the charges in this case. The 19 defendants are facing a total of 41 charges, with 13 of those being focused on the former President. The case also includes many of Trump’s allies including former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and attorney Sidney Powell.
