(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – On Saturday, President Joe Biden attended a Los Angeles fundraiser that included many top celebrities as well as former President Barack Obama. The Democrats managed to raise $28 million in the fundraiser while they continue to be worried about former President Donald Trump slowly closing the funding gap between the two parties.
Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel is set to interview a number of celebrities as well as Obama and Biden during the event. The Democrats are hoping that the star-studded event is going to help Biden’s campaign gain momentum despite the concerns regarding his age and the low approval ratings.
On Saturday morning Biden arrived in Los Angeles for the event. Democratic National Committee deputy finance chair Ajay Jain Bhutoria pointed out that this has been one of the largest fundraising events they have ever had and that the turnaround from the entertainment industry is unprecedented.
A Biden campaign spokeswoman had argued that there was $28 million that had been raised through the fundraiser in LA and that the fundraising continued. She also added that this is the largest fundraiser in the party’s history.
In March the Biden campaign had held another star-studded fundraiser in New York City which had managed to bring in $26 million. That event featured three presidents, namely Biden, Obama, and Bill Clinton.
Campaign officials revealed that the top-ticket package for the LA package costs $500,000. It is expected that many celebrities will be in attendance including Jack Black, Kathryn Hahn, and Jason Bateman.
