( – President Joe Biden traveled to Florida as part of his fundraising efforts for his 2024 presidential campaign. Florida is the home turf of former president Donald Trump who is the front-runner in the GOP primary race and is widely expected to be Trump’s opponent in the general election.

Biden is going to be seeking another term in office in the 2024 election. During his latest visit to Florida, he stopped in Jupiter and Miami for his fundraising efforts.

Trump, has been residing in his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach since exiting the White House in January 2021. Those who traveled on Air Force One with President Biden would be able to see Trump’s private jet which is located on the same tarmac in Florida.

Thus far, the Biden campaign has not placed a lot of attention on Florida, even though the state had been previously considered a key swing state.

In 2020, Trump had only beaten Biden in the Florida general election by 51.2%-47.9%. This was an increase in the victory margin in the state despite the millions of dollars that had been spent by the Democrats in the state.

During his fundraising, Biden appeared to be optimistic about potentially being able to win the state. He is also looking to take advantage of the state’s financially well-off residents. During his 2020 campaign, Floridians were the fourth-largest donation source for Biden. For Trump, Floridians were the third-largest source.

In the last three months of 2023, Biden along with the Democratic party had managed to raise $97 million.
