(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Biden’s campaign held talks with Nikki Haley supporters, which, much like Biden’s debate performance, did not go well.
As President Joe Biden’s campaign focuses on fixing the chaos he created with his abysmal debate performance, two campaign officials held a virtual meeting with 14 Nikki Haley allies.
According to insiders, the Wednesday night call — organized by the Haley Voters Working Group — did not go well.
The outreach by Austin Weatherford, the campaign’s head of GOP outreach, and Kevin Munoz, a spokesperson, was yet another attempt by Biden’s campaign to revive his reelection efforts.
Weatherford and Munoz reportedly acknowledged Biden’s poor debate performance and the work they had to do to convince voters he’s fit for another four years.
Haley’s allies revealed they were not convinced.
One voter, previously on a state leadership team for Haley, explained that they couldn’t vote for the GOP’s presumptive nominee Trump, following January 6. However, they expressed doubts about voting for Biden after his debate performance.
Another Haley supporter suggested the President hadn’t given enough of a positive reason why voters, unlikely to support Trump, would vote for him.
An Arizona woman on the call, convinced Vice President Kamala Harris would become the President, suggested the Biden campaign have Harris speak on more issues than abortion. The remark prompted the campaign officials to acknowledge Haley’s voters wanted to hear the campaign’s stance on immigration and foreign policy.
The exchange with Haley’s supporters was the first time Biden’s campaign officially reached out to the failed Republican candidate’s supporters and came a day after Haley released her delegates to Trump.
