(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – In the Michigan Republican primary, both former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden had decisive victories on Tuesday. This further increases the chances of the 2024 presidential race ending up being a rematch of the 2020 race between the two candidates. Super Tuesday in early March is going to help solidify the two candidates as the frontrunners to become their respective parties’ nominees.
After polls had closed on Tuesday the Associated Press had called the two primary races for Trump and Biden only a short while after the polls had closed. This means that both candidates have thus far been undefeated as they try to secure the nomination in the 2024 presidential election.
Biden won in the primary race, despite the recent push by Arab Americans in the state to not show support for the President because of his handling of Israel in their war in Gaza. Many voters had been calling for people to cast an “uncommitted” ballot in the primary race rather than directly show support for Biden in order to have him understand their displeasure.
The movement has also been supported by Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., who called for the public to oppose Biden in the primary in her home state. In a video that had been shared by the group Listen to Michigan, which was supporting the action against Biden, she said that she was proud of having voted “uncommitted.” She added that it was important for them to protect the country’s democracy and that they needed to ensure that the U.S. government was about the people.
She continued by pointing out that 74 percent of Michigan Democrats were calling for a cease-fire in Gaza and yet President Joe Biden was not taking any action to show that he was listening to them. She added that they needed to use their democracy in order to make Biden listen.
