(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – President Joe Biden’s campaign is facing pressure as four of the seven battleground states appear to be out of reach in the race against former President Donald Trump. In 2020 Biden had won in Nevada, Arizona, North Carolina and Georgia which the Democrats are hoping he will be able to win back.
However, a dozen campaign officials and senior Democrats have expressed doubts about Biden’s ability to win those states. Still, there are months to go until Election Day. The current situation leaves Biden with little room for error as Biden is hoping to win the required 270 Electoral College votes. To do so he will need to win in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
One of Biden’s campaign officials argued that in Nevada, Georgia, and Arizona the race looked tight.
Dan Kanninen, the battleground states director, mentioned that the campaign is bolstering its staff in Arizona and Nevada, aiming to stay competitive in all swing states. Biden’s recent trip to Nevada was cut short due to a mild case of COVID-19, leading to the cancellation of a planned speech.
Many Democrats are worried that if Biden continues with his presidential campaign, they will not only lose the White House but also both Congress chambers. The polls show that Biden is behind Trump in the Rust Belt states, which would be the key to reelection.
Despite these hurdles, some Democrats remain optimistic, noting Trump’s legal troubles and the Jan. 6 Capitol attack as significant liabilities for the Republican candidate. The Biden campaign is investing heavily in battleground states, with a focus on North Carolina, where local Democratic efforts aim to keep the state in play.
On Sunday, January 21st Biden dropped out of the race.
