(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – President Joe Biden claimed on Monday that following the 9/11 attacks he had visited the World Trade Center ruins on September 12, 2001. However, there are no records to indicate that was the case or that the then-senator had been in New York at all that day.
Biden made the claim during his speech at a military base in Alaska commemorating the 22nd anniversary of the terrorist attacks.
Republicans have placed a lot of attention on the President’s gaffes to show that Biden, 80, does not have the necessary mental fitness to serve a second term in the White House. Previously in October 2022, Biden had incorrectly asserted that one of his sons had “lost his life in Iraq.” This was a reference to Beau Biden, his eldest son who served in Iraq. However, his son died in 2015 after his service of brain cancer at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland.
On Monday Biden stated that they were gathered to renew their vow to never forget. He then added that he remembered being in New York the day after the attack and “looking at the building.” He proceeded to state that it was as if he was “looking through the gates of hell” and that it had been devastating. However, despite his claims, there are no records of Biden having visited Ground Zero the day after the attack. In fact, on September 12, 2001, Biden delivered a speech to the Senate during which he stated that the attackers had united the entire civilized world against them.
