(RestoreAmericanGlory.com) – Many Republicans are beginning to look for alternatives to Trump elsewhere as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s campaign has not managed to enthuse in the way it was anticipated to. Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin and Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp are two of the figures that those in the Republican Party are considering as possible options for the presidency, according to GOP strategists.

Republicans have also pointed out that DeSantis, who is considered the most formidable challenger that former President Donald Trump will face in the 2024 Republican primary, has so far failed to present himself as the clear alternative to the former President.

Vin Weber, a GOP strategist, pointed out that DeSantis’s highest point was after he won the midterm elections, especially as the other election results were fairly disappointing for the Republican party. However, following his strong appearance in the midterm elections, he has failed to appear as strong as he had before. Weber had worked as an adviser in the presidential campaigns of 1996, 2004, and 2008.

Weber alleged that despite the polling results, Trump is still a vulnerable candidate as he is facing a variety of legal issues. This also means that candidates like Youngkin and Kemp might start appearing more attractive as alternative options.

John Merrill, the former Alabama secretary of state, argued that DeSantis was in trouble as he had failed to deliver on the expectations that were set for his entry into the presidential race. He added that the problem for him is that he does not have the right “ground game” to win over supporters who will continue to support him.
